Our Committment
It’s all about community.
At the end of the day, FirstClose is part of a community. A big, beautiful diverse collection of people, from different places and all walks of life. We’re honored to give back to the communities we serve. It inspires us. Expands our perspective. And, more importantly, assists those who could use a hand. Our commitment includes company programs that draw on our people, products and financial assets. We support housing initiatives, community reinvestment through research and financial literacy through knowledge.
To accomplish our community goals, we’ve formed strategic partnerships with the following nonprofit organizations:
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Some of the activities include participating in a build near our Austin headquarters, participating in as well as their Annual Women’s Build.
Operation HOPE has served millions of individuals and directed billions in economic activity into disenfranchised communities—turning check-cashing customers into banking customers, renters into homeowners, small business dreamers into small business owners, minimum wage workers into living wage consumers, and uncertain disaster victims into financially empowered disaster survivors. Financial Literacy for All (FL4A) is a natural extension of Operation HOPE’s services that we have been providing for 30 years. Each of these programs are designed to EDUCATE people on what they need to know, COACH them through putting what they learn into practice and CONNECT them to the resources they need to improve their own financial future and that of their local community.
