What is changing?

We are moving our Production and Test environments to Microsoft Azure cloud-based service on December 14th. This move will not affect the majority of our Customers/ Vendors.

Why move to a fully cloud-based data center?

FirstClose will be moving our production and test data centers in December to the Microsoft Azure cloud-based service for added reliability and scalability. This increase in capability is required to keep up with the growth and demand of FirstClose services.

How will this move impact how we use FirstClose today?

It will have no impact on how you use FirstClose today.

Where will customers’ data be located?

Data will be hosted on servers located in one of Microsoft Azure’s highly-secure data centers within the United States.

How will the upgrade impact data security and availability?

It will not impact data security or availability in any negative capacity. It will help FirstClose in providing a more secure and robust environment.

Microsoft leads the industry in establishing clear security and privacy requirements and then consistently meeting these requirements. Azure meets a broad set of international and industry-specific compliance standards, such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 1 and SOC 2, as well as country-specific standards, including Australia IRAP, UK G-Cloud, and Singapore MTCS. Rigorous third-party audits, such as those done by the British Standards Institute, verify Azure’s adherence to the strict security controls these standards mandate.

What is the timeframe for the migration?

The cutover is planned for the evening of December 14th. Prior to that date, FirstClose will notify our customers, vendors and LOS partners of this change and provide instructions on how it may affect them.

We will be performing different levels of testing, beginning the weekend of December 1st and invite anyone that has a concern to test the migration. Further details on how to test will be provided to those interested, at a later date.

Will the upgrade affect my organization’s integrations?

FirstClose currently has several URL-based LOS integrations. The upgrade is expected to be seamless and transparent to end users and integration partners. There are no alterations to any port or URLs currently in use.
